The year 2025 marked a significant milestone for Elevation by Infinity Inc., a Missouri nonprofit dedicated to supporting competitive youth taekwondo athletes from underserved and rural communities. Our mission centers on athlete development through training, nutrition, travel support, and youth leadership. As we reflect on our founding year, we take pride in the progress made, the athletes who have risen to challenges, and the community that has rallied behind this sports program. This recap shares our journey, achievements, and vision for the future.
2025: Our Founding Year
Launching a nonprofit taekwondo organization focused on taekwondo was both a challenge and a calling. The goal was clear: create a space where talented athletes from rural areas could access Olympic-style taekwondo training and leadership opportunities often unavailable in their communities.
Co-founders Jasmine Gallegos and John Szyhowski brought a wealth of experience and passion to this mission. Jasmine, a 3rd Dan and AAU certified instructor with a background in neurophysiology, leads as CEO. John, a 5th Dan with over 15 years of coaching experience and certifications from AAU and USAT, serves as Head Coach. Together, they built a foundation grounded in expertise, safety, and athlete-centered values.

Leaders in the Making
In 2025, our athletes logged over 500 combined volunteer hours. These hours reflect their dedication to community service and embody the spirit of leadership we aim to cultivate. Whether assisting at local events, mentoring younger students, or supporting nonprofit initiatives, these young athletes are becoming role models in their communities.
The volunteer commitment, paired with academic standards, creates a culture of accountability and growth. This balance helps athletes prepare for success both in sports and life.
2025 Athlete Achievements
Our athletes’ accomplishments in their first year demonstrate the impact of focused support and training:
Dylan Haubrich earned a silver medal at Team Trials and secured a spot on the AAU Nationals B Team.
Jane Dillon-Smith was selected for the AAU National Traditional Forms Team, showcasing excellence in Olympic-style taekwondo forms.
Zimirah Hardin qualified for AAU Team Trials and earned medals at national competitions.
Anna Wosoba won medals at both AAU and USAT Nationals, highlighting her competitive skill and dedication.
These achievements reflect the hard work of athletes and coaches alike, proving that youth from anywhere can compete at the highest levels with the right support.

Coaching, Safety & Support
Our coaching staff prioritizes athlete safety and holistic development. John Szyhowski’s 15+ years of experience and certifications ensure that training programs meet national standards. Jasmine Gallegos’s expertise in neurophysiology informs our approach to athlete health and injury prevention.
Beyond physical training, we provide nutritional guidance and travel support to reduce barriers for rural athletes. This comprehensive support system helps athletes focus on growth and competition without undue stress.
